With a team of over 200 talented associates, Mills Properties has the ability to create unique opportunities that not all apartment communities or management companies can offer. We offer such a diverse array of apartments in locations all over St. Louis, Illinois, and Columbia, MO that we truly have something for everyone. For our team members to be able to share with each other how we serve our individual markets, our ideas, goals, and challenges, makes our jobs just a little bit easier…and way more fun!

So our training/marketing team came up with a fun way to make that happen, and it’s called Mills Brainstorming. In the multifamily industry, there are a variety of Brainstorming Conferences that take place throughout the year on a much larger scale, so we decided to implement some of the features we’ve learned from them and fit them into the Mills culture. The first brainstorming session was for leasing. We covered topics such as outreach, closing, consultative selling, and more. There were 3 rounds, so everyone got to participate in a variety of topics and each table had a rockin’ theme to help get the creativity flowing. It was a success all around – ideas were flowing, people were learning, and most of all, everyone had a fun time!

Session Two was all about Leadership Brainstorming. Topics included Community Involvement, Growing Your Team, Customer Experience, and more.

Session Three was the final 2016 event with Maintenance Brainstorming. Our maintenance team covered topics including Being a Team Player, Work Orders, Make Readies, and Customer Service.
