Angels' Arms Cereal Drive

The month of July has come and gone, and along with it record breaking heat, the fireworks season and most importantly: St. Louis Apartment Association’s Cereal Drive to benefit Angels’ Arms.

During the month of July, SLAA asked it’s members to collect boxes of cereal for the families of Angels’ Arms, an amazing organization which provides foster children a safe and loving home, along with resources to enjoy their childhood as well as to grow and be successful. As they accurately stated: “We can all imagine, in fast-paced households with lots of kids, cereal is the preferred (at least by the kids) breakfast food seven days a week. Collecting cereal will be a huge cost savings for the families of this organization.” And we at Mills properties, as members of SLAA, were excited to be given the opportunity to help them out. We decorated boxes and asked our communities to get involved in the collective efforts.

Here are a few photos I was able to snag:

Now on to August, the month where we will still probably have record breaking temperatures, but more importantly, we will have the opportunity to donate over 100 collected cereal boxes to SLAA for them to disperse, along with the many other organizations who collected, to the families of Angel’s Arms to help them in their efforts to do what they do best: give foster children a chance to be children.

Thank you to all who donated and to SLAA for providing us the opportunity.
