The 2018 St. Louis Apartment Association Rising Star Awards banquet took place on Friday, April 27th at the Sheraton Westport Chalet. The night began with a cocktail reception that gave the 625 attendees a chance to mingle and show off their outfits before dinner began. Dinner was served in a packed ballroom that featured six tables full of Mills associates. After dinner and some delicious cheesecake, the night’s presentation took place to honor the 120 Rising Stars award nominees and the 47 different companies that made the event possible.

Members of the Mills family taking home awards included Erica Foley, Amanda Hansen and John Argent. Erica was named the Rising Star of the Year for her work in 2017 at Celtic Crossing. Amanda was named the Behind The Scenes Professional of the Year based on her performance with the accounting team at the Mills corporate office. John Argent, now at Kirkwood Bluffs, earned his Maintenance Supervisor of the Year award while at Oak Park Apartments in 2017.

Being the photogenic bunch the Mills associates are, it would be fair to say that the #seriousaboutfun mantra was very well-represented. Aside from taking solo selfies and group selfies, the Mills bunch also shared their pictures on Snapchat using the filter our marketing team created for the event and were frequently seen in the photo booth area.
